Grant Program

What is the Grant Program?

The Grant Program is a reward activity template that allows anyone to activate certain community behaviors by initiating a Grant. Currently, it is categorized into three types: position mining, broker, and trading competition.

How to Initiate a Grant?

How to Initiate a Grant? To launch a Grant, you need to have a specific amount of $DRF tokens in your wallet. When starting a Grant, one needs to determine the Margin Token to be rewarded, the amount of $DRF tokens for the reward, and the duration of the Grant.

For example, Alice starts a trading competition Grant for USDT as Margin Token. The total reward is set at 10,000 $DRF. The Grant event duration is 20 days with a "Cliff" of 7 days. This means that the trading competition for the USDT Margin Token will commence 7 days after the initiation and will last for a total of 30 days, with a prize pool of 10,000 $DRF.

What is the reward rule for the position mining Grant?

The reward for the Grant of position mining is distributed evenly three times a day. The amount of $DRF rewarded each day = Total pool of that Grant / Grant Days. If there are multiple Grants for the same Margin Token on the same day, then the rewards will be combined and distributed.

For example, Alice initiated a position mining Grant targeting users who use USDT as a margin token, with a total reward of 10,000 $DRF and a duration of Grant Days set at 20 days, and a Cliff Days of 7. This implies that 7 days after the initiation, users who use USDT as a margin token can share the daily reward of 10,000 / 20 = 500 $DRF. The distribution method can be referred to in the position mining rules.

What is the reward rule for the Broker Grant?

The reward for the Broker Grant is distributed daily at UTC 0:00. The amount of $DRF rewarded each day = Total pool of that Grant / Grant days. If there are multiple Grants for the same Margin Token on the same day, then the rewards will be combined and calculated for distribution. Each Broker will divide the daily pool based on the proportion of the previous day's fee income for that particular Margin Token.

For example, Alice initiated a Broker Grant for users using USDT as a Margin Token, with a total reward of 10,000 $DRF and a duration of Grant days set at 20 days, and Cliff days of 7. 7 days after the initiation, all Brokers can share the daily reward of 10,000 / 20 = 500 $DRF.

The amount of $DRF reward a specific broker receives = Fee income of that broker from USDT transactions on the previous day / Total USDT fee income from all brokers on the previous day * 500 $DRF.

What are the reward rules for the Trading Competition Grant?

At the end of the trading competition, the scores of all participating users are tallied. The reward pool is then distributed in one go, based on the ranking of the competition scores.

Competition score = Balance in the margin account at the end of the competition - Balance in the margin account at the start of the competition - Amount deposited during the competition + Amount withdrawn during the competition.

  • Gold Prize: Top 5% of users share 50% of the reward pool equally

  • Silver Prize: Users ranking between the top 5% to 15% share 30% of the reward pool equally

  • Bronze Prize: Users ranking between the top 15% to 30% share 20% of the reward pool equally

For example, Alice initiated a Trading Competition Grant for users using USDT as a Margin Token, with a total reward of 10,000 $DRF, Grant Days set at 20 days, and Cliff Day of 7. This means that 27 days after initiation, the competition concludes, and all users trading with USDT will share the total reward based on their competition scores. Suppose, in the end, 100 users participated in the competition. Then the top 5 users would each get a reward of (10,000 * 50% / 5) = 1,000 $DRF, users ranking 6th to 15th would each get (10,000 * 30% / 10) = 300 $DRF, and users ranking 16th to 30th would each get (10,000 * 20% / 15) = 133 $DRF.
